Welcome! The air is cooling down, but things are heating up at the studio as we prepare for fun and festive events like the holiday parade and charity show! To help things run smoothly, make sure you read through this newsletter to keep you up to date and informed of everything going on at the studio!

Here at PADC, we believe dance is for everyone! We encourage boys to try dance and follow their passion. Boys are invited to try a free class where they will train in a safe, supportive environment. To add extra incentive for boys to try dance, we offer discounted rates for classes starting at only $25 per month. Contact the office for details.

Boys Dance Too!

Families are now able to check their studio account through our software program, Studio Director. You can access it from the main menu here on the studio website. Click on Account Login. That will open in a new tab. The first time you log on, click Forgot Password, and that will walk you through setting up a login with the email you have on file with the studio. That is very important – if you use a different email than what the studio has on file, it will not work. Once you are logged in, you can see your student’s class list, your current balance due, balance due within 30 days and also your last payment.

Please label all dance shoes and bags with student’s name. We have a lost-n-found located in the front foyer under the bench. There are separate bins for dance shoes, water bottles and clothing items. These bins tend to fill up pretty quickly. To help reduce the number of lost dance shoes, please make sure you write your dancer's name on the inside of them.

Lost & Found

There is no credit given for missed classes. If a student misses a class because of illness, family/school obligation or if the weather is bad, the studio will offer a make-up class. Make-up classes are the student’s responsibility and are strongly encouraged. Students have four weeks to make-up the class that they missed. Check with your child’s teacher or the front desk as to which class would be appropriate for them to join for the make-up.

Make-up Classes

Spread the word, PADC offers a fabulous referral program. To thank you for the many referrals we receive, PADC would like to reward those clients who pass along our good name to their friends and neighbors. Any current student who refers someone new to our studio for classes will receive $10 off their tuition for that month. The new student also will receive $10 off their tuition for the first month. To make things even better, every five new student referrals you make, you also will receive a FREE COSTUME DEPOSIT, in addition to your $10 tuition discount for that month. To be eligible, the new student must write your name down on the referral line of our registration card and sign up for at least one month of classes. Previous students do not count toward referrals. We love all of our referrals and thank you for speaking so highly of PADC to your friends and neighbors. We appreciate it!

Please be sure to order and pick-up dance shoes from the Dancer's Closet shop at the studio. The shop also carries dancewear, bags, shirts, tights and accessories. There are fun holiday gift ideas for dancers of all ages!

Mark your calendars now! During watch week, the studio invites parents to watch class from inside the studio classrooms. Watch week will be Monday, November 11 - Saturday, November 16. This is a perfect time to take pictures of your child dancing in class. Please be considerate of the rest of the class and observers by keeping young siblings quiet while in the room. Due to space constraints, this is limited to immediate family only.l

Mark your calendars now! PADC will be participating in two holiday events. The first is Delaware's annual Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 8. ALL STUDENTS are encouraged to participate. More details will follow as it gets closer.

The second event is our Christmas show for charity. PADC's Christmas Show is December 14 in the Hayes High School Auditorium. There will be two shows this year, at 11:00 AM and 12:30PM. This is a charity event with admission being $5 and a canned good. A variety of classes will be asked to participate in this optional performance. Schedules and information will be distributed shortly.

Save The Date

The studio will be closed for Thanksgiving break November 27 - December 1. We are thankful for our amazing PADC family! The studio will be closed for Christmas break December 22 - January 4. 

Holiday Schedule

Appropriate dance shoes and dance attire must be worn in all classes. All students must wear studio brand dance shoes. The studio also sells a variety of leotards, tights, skirts and dance bags. Absolutely no street shoes allowed in the classrooms.

Ballet: Solid color leotard, pink tights, pink Revolution ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun. Ballet 3-6 and pointe must wear a black leotard.

Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Modern: Any style leotard, tights, leggings, dance top or shorts and appropriate shoes. Check for class color and style.

Hip Hop: Proper dancewear or a tight-fitting t-shirt and shorts/pants and black hip hop shoes. No jeans.

Combo Classes: Any style leotard and tights, pink ballet shoes. Combo 2 also needs black tap shoes.

Gymnastics: Any style leotard and tights or biketard. Must wear black gymnastics shoes.

Class Attire

Anyone who wants to participate in the June recital must pay a $60 costume deposit by November 10. After November 10, costume deposits are $65 per class. Costume deposits are non-refundable. Costume balances will be due March 10. If you are in multiple classes, you will need to pay a costume deposit for every class that you will be performing in for the recital. Also, if you are in multiple calsses, there is a chance your dancer may perform in multiple shows.

Costume Deposits

To make things easier for our parents, the studio offers an autopay option for tuition and costumes. This is a free service, and you can have it drafted from any credit card or check card. This is a stress free alternative so you don’t have to worry about remembering to make the payment and also guarantees you will never receive a late fee. Please check with the office if you are interested.

PADC offers several different fundraisers throughout the year to help offset the cost of tuition and costumes. Anyone can participate who takes classes at the studio. Whatever money you earn will go directly into your account.
