As the weather gets warmer, our annual recital gets closer! It is so fun to see all of the classes working hard preparing for their special performances!
We are excited to announce that this year, in addition to our recital, we will be performing the ballet, Alice In Wonderland! We have all kinds of information listed here and on the Important Dates page. Please make sure you read through the news to keep you up to date and informed of everything going on at PADC!
New Class Times Begin May 23
Students are to come to their new combined class time. These combined classes are to prepare the students for dancing in front of an audience. This will help to minimize stage fright and to allow them to dance to their full potential on stage. We will also be practicing the finale during these times. Make sure all younger students have gone to the bathroom before the class starts. Even though class times are extended, June tuition will be half of what is usually paid.
For a complete combined class schedule, please
Also included will be information about the recital.
We are getting so excited about our upcoming recital on Friday June 10th and Saturday June 11th. Due to circumstances outside of our control, we were forced to change our venue this season but are excited to be dancing at Dublin Jerome High School. Since this is a larger venue that can accommodate a larger audience, we are able to reduce the number of shows. We will be hosting two ballet performances on Friday night and two recitals on Saturday. The ballet, Alice In Wonderland, will last close to an hour while our other shows will run roughly 1.5 hours each. The tickets prices will increase a bit from previous years due to the increased costs associated with the new venue. THANK YOU for your patience and understanding as we continue to work out all of the details. We have a LOT of important information for you, and we can’t wait to see all our dancers shine on stage☺ For complete recital information, including the dress rehearsal schedule, please click HERE.
Tuesday, June 7 there will be a full cast rehearsal for Alice In Wonderland AT THE STUDIO. Cast A will rehearse from 5-6:30, Cast B will rehearse from 6:45-8:15. Dancers should wear their normal practice clothes. Do Not wear costumes.
All audience members age 2 and up will need to purchase a ticket to the performances. Online ticket sales will begin Monday May 16 at noon. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and are reserved seating. There are two prices for tickets. The lower section is $18 a ticket and the upper section is $16 a ticket. There is no limit on tickets. Only performers and parent helpers are allowed backstage. No additional children/siblings may wait backstage if they are not performing in that show. Dancers will not need a ticket to the show they are performing in.

The studio is in need of several parent volunteers to help both backstage with the children and front of house being ushers. If you volunteer to be an usher, you will see the show for free in an assigned seat by the door. Each combo class will need at least 2 moms to stay with the group backstage. All classes with 5-9 year olds need at least 1 parent per class to be backstage with them. Please consider helping out to make your child’s recital be the best it can be! Remember, if you volunteer backstage you will still see your child dance on stage at dress rehearsal and also at the recital from the wings, bonus you don’t need to buy a ticket. ☺
Recital Recording Fee
Every family participating in the recital had a $30 recording fee that is due May 10th. After May 10th, the recording fee is $35. All families will have access to a professional video download of your child’s recital. Videos will be ready for downloading two weeks after the recital.
